African Essence Yaky Relaxer - Regular,Super Size : 15oz

Creamy texture sodium hydroxide relaxer that contains a special blend of Conditioning protectants that aids in conditioning as the hair is straightened while Eliminating any burning sensation.  

PRELIMINARY STRAND TEST - Take a small amout of relaxer and apply to a strand of hair and spread evenly from root area to end. Leave on for not longer than 20 minutes. Note relaxation of hair or any damage to hair. If hair shows signs of breakage or damage, do not use the relaxer for at least 24 hours agter the hair has been conditioned and retested.
Directions:

Apply protective base or cream to hairline and ears, set timer. Put on gloves.

Read instructions thoroughly before starting.- APPLICATION:

Warning protective gloves apply relaxer 1/4 in from the scalp. NEVER APPLY TO SCALP. Apply relaxer to small sections working from back to front of head. Apply relaxer from 1/4 in (new growth) away from the scalp to where hair was already relaxed. DO NOT APPLY RELAXER TO PREVIOUSLY RELAXED HAIR.
After applying relaxer to all sections begin smoothing the hair starting in the area where the relaxer was first applied. Using the back of a comb or gloved fingers smooth hair beginning of the root area until hair is completely straight. DO NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM TIME.
When desired straightness has been obtained rinse hair thoroughly with lukewarm water, using a strong enough force of water to remove all traces of the relaxer. Pay close attention to areas around hairline, ears and nape (neck). keep rinse water away from eyes and face.
Using African Essence Neutralizing Shampoo, shampoo the hair at least two times, again pay close attention to areas around the hairline, ear, and nape. Rinse thoroughly after shampooing, towerl dry and apply African Essence Leave-In Strengthening Conditioner. Work into the ahir massageing thoroughly. DO NOT RINSE OUT. Comb through hair to distribute, finally styles as desired by setting, wrapping or blow-drying.
